Dillon Beach Elopement // Sooyeon + Nick

A foggy day at Dillon Beach made for the most incredible setting for Sooyeon and Nick’s wedding. After their wedding plans all had to shift, they rented an airbnb for a weekend and held a beautiful backyard wedding.

With intimate wedding days where it’s just close family there to witness the start of your marriage, there’s something incredibly unique about being a stranger in on these moments. But Sooyeon and Nick didn’t treat us like strangers. On the contrary, actually. They made us feel so welcomed, trusted, and included in all parts of their day. We accept that gracious invite into people’s most special moments in their lives and we try to honor it by capturing the moments as true as they were and as beautifully as they will last in their memories.

This day included so many amazing parts of Sooyeon, Nick, and their relationship. Both Sooyeon and Nick’s dads were officiants, they included some Korean wedding traditions, they cried on the deck as they danced with their parents, they died laughing at the floss dancing they attempted, their dog, Penny made it to all parts of the party, and they said hi to all of their guests over zoom that couldn’t be a part of the day because of the pandemic.

I’m so in love with this set from such a special day with such great people.
