Aaron and Ale’s wedding was the kind of wedding a photographer dreams of shooting. First of all, Yosemite is my favorite place on this planet. Is it everyone’s favorite place that’s been there? Second, the lighting, fall colors, and details were absolute magic.
When I showed up to Ale’s getting-ready space at Rush Creek Lodge, they were blasting music. I was so excited to find out that Ale’s favorite movie is Frozen. Frozen 2 is my favorite movie and she hasn’t even seen that one yet. BOY is she in for a treat! 🙂 We listened to Frozen’s soundtrack as I started grabbing shots of Ale’s different details. Like I said… dream wedding. Then over at Aaron’s getting-ready space, I got to see the sweet dynamic between Aaron and his parents and how much Aaron wanted them to be included in all of the moments.
Before the ceremony, we had Aaron in the front seat blinded with a neck pillow over his eyes and Ale directly behind him and we took a quick, bumpy drive to a spot I found for them across the street from the venue for their first look. Watching their first look was so special. Once they’d seen each other it was non-stop smiles the rest of the day.
Their ceremony was incredibly touching. Ale’s parents couldn’t be at their wedding unfortunately but they were still such a big part of the day– witnessing everything through zoom on the iPad from their home in Peru. Aaron and Ale’s officiant was even in Peru and was set up on their iPad to walk them through a beautiful ceremony.
After a whole set of emotional speeches, including Ale’s parents on zoom, I left the wedding with the best wedding food I’ve honestly ever had and the biggest smile on my face. So grateful to have been a part of this special day.
