In 2008, at 16 years old, Janet and Eric were in a CIT (counselors in training) program together at Camps Newfound and Owatonna. If you look at the first photo below, you'll see a small island in the middle of Long Lake, and across from that island, on the left, lies the gorgeous camp. On their first night of the summer, their counselors had them hike this mountain, Hawk Mountain, blindfolded. And here we are 8 years later, on Hawk Mountain, taking their engagement photos! No, we didn't make them walk up blindfolded. :) I was actually there with them, at 16, in their CIT program, hiking this mountain blindfolded, so it feels like one of the most incredible honors to get to be back here celebrating their love! We had an amazing adventure shoot with these two, and we helped them revisit their very first date, which took place on a canoe on Long Lake of course. :) This is one powerhouse couple! They are two of the most genuine, thoughtful, hard working, kind, people I've ever had the privilege of knowing and I'm so happy that they're getting married.
